  1. Where is CAL located?
    In Gresham Station at 1484 NW Civic Dr.

  2. How do I get there?
    Transportation will be provided between CAL and your home high school. Or, you can drive to CAL, where limited parking will be provided.

  3. Can I still participate in extra-curricular activities?
    Yes, CAL's schedule will allow you to participate in extra-curricular activites at your home high school.

  4. Will I receive a diploma from my home high school?
    Yes, all CAL credits will apply toward your home high school diploma, even those that also count for college credit.

  5. What programs does CAL offer?
    • Information Technology-
      • Graphic Design
      • Networking/ Programming
    • Engineering/Advanced Manufacturing-
    • Medical/Health Sciences-
      • These programs provide a broad preparation in medical/health careers. There are opportunities for certifications and beginning coursework in four-year and two-year degree-programs.

  6. What required classes will I take at CAL?
    You'll take English classes plus 2-3 career-related classes, for a total of four classes.

  7. Is CAL a two-year program?
    CAL is an every-other-day program for both your junior and senior year.

  8. Is there tuition charged for college credits earned?
    Students will not be charged tuition for their college level classes; however, a transcript fee is required once a year.

  9. Who will teach at CAL?
    You will have teachers from local high schools and community colleges, as well as some industry instructors.

  10. Do I do a Senior Project if I attend CAL?
    CAL students will complete a capstone project. The capstone will take the place of senior projects at your home high school. (RHS students- Your capstone project will be a major part of your portfolio. It will not replace it.)

  11. Will I complete my CIM and CAM requirements at CAL or my home high school?
    CAL will support you in completing your requirements for CIM and CAM. You will earn a CIM or CAM from your home high school.
