Digital Media Program Overview

CAL’s Digital Media and Design Program explores print, web and video production to give students an overview of careers in multimedia.

Our Mission

After completing two years of study in the Digital Media and Design Program at CAL, students should be able to:

►define, design, build, review and deliver multimedia projects to solve a problem or meet a need

►use the relationships and differences between print, web, and video media to create a unified message or campaign

►communicate a clear, targeted message or story for a specific audience

►write professional creative documents and business communications

►be innovative and creative with their work

►demonstrate base-level skills using current design industry hardware and software

►skillfully combine words, images, and/or sound to create messages that persuade or inform targeted audiences for specific purposes (e.g., invoke emotions, spur action, communicate ideas/information)
