Capstone Project

The Capstone Project is a culminating project required of all seniors at CAL. Below you will find information to help you through the process of completing your capstone project.

Capstone introduced; through September, students will receive assistance on developing their Capstone project and proposal. |
September 26-27 |
Preliminary Capstone proposals due; while students may not be able to submit a complete proposal at this time, they must submit as much as possible so that we can make sure that everyone is pursuing a feasible project idea. |
October 1-5 |
First Meeting with Capstone Advisors. (one-on-one or as a group) |
October 3-4 |
Preliminary proposals returned to students; if your preliminary proposal idea is not approved for further development, you'll receive assistance in revising it. Confirmation of Capstone Advisors. |
October 30-31 |
Final Revised Capstone proposal due. |
November 13-16 |
Second Meeting with Capstone Advisors. |
January 22-25 |
Third Meeting with Capstone Advisors. |

Complete the Senior Capstone Summary form. Turn in 50 word capstone summary for program listing. |
Rehearsal Presentation for Capstone advisors. |
April 30, May 1 |
Final Capstone materials due. |
May 6-7 |
Seniors will present Capstone projects to CAL juniors. |

Invitational postcards are addressed to family, friends, mentors, and community members. |
May 14-15 |
Final Capstone presentations. |

Mail thank you letters to mentors, outside advisors, capstone project stakeholders. |
