CAL Attendance Procedure

Pre-Arrangement

When a student knows he/she will be missing a CAL day (i.e. doctor/dentist appointments, home high school sports/assembly, etc) they will do the following at least two days in advance:

•  Email (preferred) or call instructors with the date/time student will not be at CAL.

Instructors email and extensions are on the CAL website

Students at this time can request missing homework from instructors

•  CC: (preferred) or call the front office with the date/time also.

Sick

When a student becomes sick the night before coming to CAL:

•  Email (preferred) or call instructors that the student is sick.

•  CC: (preferred) or call front office that the student is sick.

When a student becomes sick when already at CAL:

1.   Student lets instructor know that they are sick and will be going home

2.   Student emails or verbally relays to other instructor that he/she will have that they are sick and are going home

3.   Student will sign out in the Student Check In/Out Log located at the Front Office

Students will have two days after being absent or tardy to email or call it as

  excused to the front office.
